Launch of the Korean Advisory Committee on International Arbitration

[KBS News] The Korean Advisory Committee on International Arbitration was launched today at the Korea Press Center in Jung-gu, Seoul to reflect Korean companies’ positions at the International Arbitration Center of the American Arbitration Association.

The International Arbitration Center of the American Arbitration Association is the world’s largest dispute settlement body, a nonprofit public interest agency established by Congress in 1926 to introduce an effective arbitration system to replace courts.

The advisory committee will be chaired by lawyer Kim Hong-seok, and 30 experts will participate, including former Strategy and Finance Minister Park Jae-wan, former Vice Minister of Planning and Budget Ban Jang-sik, and Park Woo-kyu, advisor to SK Group.

The advisory committee plans to educate managers and legal professionals, advise companies on international disputes and develop ways to resolve disputes effectively in the future.
